Waterfalls and Lighthouses - Day 6

25Oct2020

Last day in Oregon.

Slept in again today, grabbed breakfast and left the hotel. We headed over to take a look at Cape Arago Lighthouse, and then headed south. We navigated our way over to Shore Acres State Park, where we found some old “tennis courts” and a botanical garden. We walked along the coastline for some light exorcise before heading to our next lighthouse destination.

Last lighthouse that we found on this trip was the Coquille River Lighthouse. This lighthouse you can drive right up to, and there is beach that you can hang out near for the day too. There were a number of families taking in the nice weather and the great view. We grabbed at Tony’s Crab Shack, in Bandon near by. Had a great lobster roll, with some New England Clam Chowder.

Found ourselves at a random “petting zoo” (West Coast Game Park Safari) where there were different “wild” animals that you could pet, ranging from lynx to racoons and skunks. Was chased around the park by the deer and sheep while trying to take pictures of the lions, tigers, and bears.

Last photo stop in OR was Natural Bridges. This was a definitely an amazing sight to see. Sea stacks all along the coast with there own mini habitats growing on each stack.

Had dinner in Brookings before making our way to Crescent City, CA for the night.
